Description of Institution Goals:

UC Berkeley is charting a bold path toward a zero-emissions future. Through our Clean Energy Campus initiative, we are transforming the campus into a living model of climate solutions. From replacing our fossil-fuel cogeneration plant with a clean-energy microgrid, to expanding renewables and cutting energy demand, we are reimagining how a great public university can thrive without carbon. This report shares our progress, challenges, and next steps on the journey to a carbon-free Berkeley.
