Emory University is committed to meeting the growing challenges of the global climate crisis through education of current and future generations, and using the latest scientific evidence to implement climate solutions on campus. Emory's goals are to reduce total GHG emissions by 45% by 2030 and to reach net zero emissions by 2050 from a 2010 baseline. Our inventory includes emissions from Emory owned or controlled sources, indirect emissions from purchased off-site electricity, and all other indirect emissions for which data is available. Emory's 2015-2025 Sustainability Vision and 2023 Climate Action Plan map Emory's sustainability goals and path to net zero.
